HiDPI displays support add-on description

Modified on: Sun, Apr 6, 2014 at 11:23 PM

This add-on enables the high-resolution (Retina) displays support.  HiDPI (dots per inch) are displays with significantly more pixels per  inch than in ordinary displays.

For example, the Retina displays found on the iPhone, iPad, and MacBook are HiDPI.

To activate the HiDPI displays support add-on:

  1. In the administration panel go to Add-ons > Manage add-ons.
  2. Find the HiDPI displays support add-on in the list and click the Install button on the right.
  3. Change the add-on status to Active in the appeared select box.

All newly uploaded images will be automatically shrinked (twice) to improve loading time on non-HiDPI devices. Existing images are not changed. It is recommended to upload high-definition images.

When disabling the add-on, picture size will not be changed. You will have to upload images of the needed size once again.
