Domain name redirection
Dear Sir/Madam,
If you wish to use your own domain name for your Merchium store, you should just follow these steps:
2. Add the new domain by clicking the + button in the upper right corner of the Administration > Domains page in the store administration panel.
3. Go to the Administration > Stores page in the store administration panel and select the storefront. Pick the new domain in the Custom domain drop-down list and click the Save button.
If you have any questions left, please feel free to contact us.
Thank you.
My domain administration area has no provision for A-Records.
The only things I can specify are nameservers.
I guess I will have to maintain my current web host and use C-Panel to redirect my domain name
to the Merchium store.
We do not offer DNS hosting service. It is usually possible to order the service of DNS hosting at a domain registrar company. You can check with them.
Or as you mentioned, you can do it via your current web hosting company.
Thank you.
I'm with godaddy and they ask me for:
Record Type: A record
Host:
Points to: 54.210.183.26
TTL:
What i need to put in HOST? and TTL?
Thank you
Hello!
Please type @ in the Host Name setting to point the record directly to your domain name.
In the TTL setting you can select how long the server should cache the information.
We hope this information helps you.
Thank you.
I would like to know if it's possible to point the store to a path like: http://www.mydomain.com/mystore/
Where "mystore" is the place where mymerchium will point.
Thank you
@christiandelcanto42,
Hello!
Please let us know the result.
Thank you.
Hi,
I contacted godaddy and they setup everything to make my domain (http://shop.mydomain.com) point to my to my merchium store.
The problem is when I type (http://shop.mydomaine.com) it points correctly to my merchium store but I still see the (https://my-store.mymerchium.com/) instead of (http://shop.mydomain.com) do you know why?
Can you help me, it's the last thing I need to fix before starting the business.
Thank you
Chris
Hi Cris,
Your subdomain points to your Merchium-based store properly now. It redirects to Merchium domain because the secure connection is enabled for your whole website on the Settings > Security settings page in your admin panel. At the moment Merchium SSL certificate is used for the secure connection in your store, that is why you see Merchium domain when opening the pages of your store via HTTPS. The ability to upload and use your own SSL certification is available on Premium plan.
Thank you.

I plan to redirect my current domain name to my trial merchium store.
What nameservers should I specify ?
